Adjustment of status that is taking forever?

Whenever you don't get an answer right away, there's a risk of the file sitting on a shelf even after you send in the documents, maybe because the officer is working in a different area for a while, or out sick, or it could be many things. Send a written inquiry to the office that conducted the interview, or consider having an attorney or your congressman's office inquire about it.
