EAD help!! Please!! really important! Ten points!?

well, you can't just apply for the I-765. your eligibility for it depends on you having some other status that allows you to get the EAD. however, as long as you still have that status, getting the EAD approved shouldn't be any problem. as for continuing to work while waiting, that would really be up to your employer, assuming he's even keeping track of it.
