All veterinarians! please answer this.?

I've committed to a university as a biology major. I'm a science freak and I figured it would fit me. After my four years I plan on hopefully getting into a veterinary school, to go on and become one myself.. has anyone majored in biology and gotten into vet school? What are some other majors that would strengthen my chances of being accepted? Also which major would be most useful for veterinary school? Please!! Thanks xo
