What is the difference between veterinary technician and veterinary assistant?

The jobs and duties of veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants are different from each other. Veterinary technician work as an anesthetist, laboratory technician, nurse, and radiology technician etc. while veterinary assistant attend the phone, schedule appointment, clean the veterinary tool and take care of animal and more. To become a veterinary technician, two years of veterinary schooling is required while veterinary assistant is not required to have any education beyond high school.
