Michigan State Veterinary School?

How does MSU rank in their veterinary school? I am in high school right now in Arizona and looking at going to University of Arizona and then to Michigan State to become a veterinarian. I get really good grades and I should have no problem getting into my state school but I didn't not know how competitive Michigan States Veterinary school is....Is it hard to get accepted and what should you do to increase your chances. Also, my parents, aunt and uncles all went to Michigan State and we used to live right near the campus. would that increase my chances at all? any information will help! thanks
